I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for many years because I consider it to be one of the most beautiful spots on the globe.  Though I have not traveled extensively, I have traveled through education, communication with others, arts and literature.  The most fantastic differentiation and individuation of each exquisite portion of nature found here in the far north of the US is in itself an educator of human relations to me.  Our complexity, our ability to handle subtle shifts and to grow beyond the mundane to the breath of exchange and emotional maturation intrigues me.  I listen to the language and knowledge of Nature, those who walk before me, those who have received enlightenment to differing degrees, ideas that grow and nurture us through these brambled times.

Background

I have experience in music, art and writing.   Music of all types and all cultures have been my study.  Piano and voice and composition have been the primary expressions.  My sense of movement and artistic overall visual impression is impacted both by my visual sense of music and the depth and nuance that that carries, and by my early training in dance.  The dance world, the stage, the drama, the visual vitality and physicality of participation included in that have influenced my artistic vision.  I love abstract art, primitive art, impressionist art, Fauvist art, the schools of Kandinsky and others attracted to childlike emotional clarity, Alexandra Nikita and many others whose individual paintings have contributed to my delight and joy at knowing more about color and the dance on canvas.

Areas of Study and Expression

Current topics of interest include active thought and expression, alternated with intuition and receptivity.  I enjoy fields of thought that range from the spiritual and scientific outreaches of human thought to the physical and all that people are learning in these areas to heal, grow and develop well.  I study psychology, both of the individual and the group.  There is a major focus on human rights and the fact that many of us are sensitive to what happens within the whole of the human dynamic, yet we are needing to learn how to operate responsibly and clearly to regulate our own reactions within the complex relationship of the whole.  Emotional growth and change, as well as communication as a key to problem solving interest me vitally.
